Day 85

There is always a sight to see while on the road. Often, we notice that drivers are in the business of conserving energy. Motorcycle taxis (known as Motos) conserve fuel by turning off their engines and coasting whenever there is a downhill incline...many vehicles drive at night without their headlights on in order to conserve the life of their headlamps....and this bicyclist conserves energy by hitching a ride on the back of a truck!

We make a weekly two-and-half to three-hour drive to Kibuye every other week to check on the latrine project. This is Halloween alley... I always get a serious hankering for candy corn each and every time we pass the guard rail barriers on this stretch of the road!
