Day 290

I hope I always remember the wonderful sights we have witnessed in our daily travels around Rwanda.

These images have become commonplace to us, yet so different than what we experience in our daily lives in the U.S.
I'd think twice about making something out of bricks if I had to transport them home on my head!
Potatoes are a whole different ballgame when you are buying in quantities larger than a 5 lb. bag!
The bananas are so wonderful here - straight from field to market.

However, I'm still not used to seeing this! We saw the first pair on the way up the hill, and the second pair on the way down.  Rwanda is called the Land of a Thousand Hills (Mille Collines), and is prime terrain for bike training. It is not unusual to be in the far reaches of the country, and see groups of Rwandans training. When I get home, I want to see THIS MOVIE that David told me about.

  1. My favorite is always going to be the galoshes with suit and field working hat.
