Day 38

Hygiene and Sanitation trainers from Rwimbogo Sector! We drove 2 hours to the Rwimbogo Sector today to meet with this group of people. These 15 people are responsible to teach 6000 families in the rural eastern part of Rwanda about hygiene before the 25 new borehole are drilled for our Clean Water project. Agnes (bottom, 4th from the right) is our Hygiene Supervisor, and teaches a series of 8 weekly lessons to these trainers. They, in turn, each teach the lessons to 18 volunteers from the villages. The volunteer facilitators then teach 25 families the lessons. It is an amazing system, and it is very effective. Now, GO WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP!!!!
