Day 217

Agnes was married today. It was an all-day affair. The traditional "bartering" ceremony is called the Dot. That was from 10 to noon. Then she dressed for the wedding and drove to the church. Then the marriage took place, then off to the reception. We left at 6:00, but I heard that there was another dinner even after that!!! We weren't up to the traditional Rwandan endurance wedding festivities, it appears!
The basket is a big part of Rwandan culture, and I was told that this shape and style of basket was the traditional favorite for weddings.
