Day 186

For the Fourth of July, we drove to Musanze District (the area of Rwanda where the gorillas are found) to check on a new latrine project at schools, and some captured springs that the church built in 2010, but are not functioning now. Dad is talking with Eddie, the contractor who built the original springs, and who will repair the 4 broken captured spring sites.

Eddie will determine why the spring water is no longer flowing through the pipes and will make repairs so that the community will once again have a clean water source.
Living in Rwanda, I haved learned that 4th of July is a special day...it is called Liberation Day which celebrates the end of the genocide against the Tutsi of 1994.

Happy Birthday America, Happy LIberation Day, Rwanda!
