Future Farmers of Rwanda! Today was kick-off day for the creation of a
“Missionary Garden” behind the D.I.C. office. This program is part of the
Food Initiative program which is designed to help church members and
their neighbors build small home gardens or small animal projects.
These
young men will prepare, cultivate, and care for a large garden behind
the building. They will be able to participate in the harvest of the
vegetables, and donate some to the branch for those in need. In
addition, their labor in the garden will be part of their contribution
for their mission cost. It’s an innovative program that I am excited to
be a part of.
