Day 388

Today was a two-branch conference. Over 150 people gathered in the Kigali 1 Branch building for a meeting presided over by President Jackson from Kampala. He officially created Kigali 3 branch, which is located near where we live in Kagugu. He had four people bear their testimonies: Preston Eastin, Gilbert Kwizera, Charles, and Jean Paul Maniriho. The choir sang, "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" - accompanied by Sarah Austin on violin, and me on keyboard, then I spoke, then Brad, then President. It was a long, but good meeting. Afterward, we rented a bunch of busses and taxis to ferry everyone over to the Kagugu building.

Pascasie and Odette were all smiles in the taxi.

Everyone piled out to tour the new building.

Brad and I found this duplex in June, and everything was finalized earlier this week when we paid the rent. In August, the branch will also have the other half of the duplex, and the walls that divide the two halves will be removed to create a large space upstairs, and down.

Jean Paul, the new Kigali 3 branch president and President Jackson enjoy a snack at the open house.

Sister Jackson and Frank, first counselor in Kigali 2 also enjoy a treat.
